dark tears

I doubt if this poem is scientifically correct and I am not sure why I felt the need to write it.

But write it, I did and I am not totally displeased with it. It portrays my admiration and love of my personal God. She is not an old man sitting on his throne on a cloud overlooking us all. She is not listening to our prayers, fixing our problems nor threatening us with hell if we misbehave. She is, purely and simply, Mother Nature. We, humankind, are just a minute part of Mother Nature, as is the internal workings of this planet right up to the most distant stars in our Universe. It is all Mother Nature. All of it. And she provides all materials, including all forms of life and if part of that life treats her disrespectfully, or without thought, she will change in order to cope. Hence the climate change. Why is mankind so stupid in spite of having developed such intelligence?

Dark Tears

From deep, deep down,
near the centre of the earth
where molten rock heats up
massive caverns of air
the purest condensation appears.
Tears of our earth,
that swell up over eons
into huge artesian seas.
A clarity that is rarely seen on earth,
lies unseen in the vaults below,
in the womb of Mother Nature herself.
Fresh, subterranean seas
that grow ever deeper,
push ever higher,
towards the top of the caverns so high.
And when the caverns are full
not even the structure of earth
can save them,
as the pure waters relentlessly drill upwards
with the force of a laser
that has been burning the rock
for a light year.
Through new born chimneys and fissures
in the earth’s crust
the new water urges upwards
defying all in its way.
Such power,
such force,
such desire to escape.
Until the waters reach the last stage
when even they get lost
in a honeycomb of natural tunnels and caves,
just a fraction below earth’s ground.
The water has found its match
because the catacombs are just as relentless
and endless, in their capacity.
But, when they are full, they squeeze the water
gently out and onto the earth.
What was once an atomic force
is tamed
and now brings life to the earth.
But, before it does, as it trickles down the hill
to join other rivulets in the stream.
it will evaporate and go up to the sky
before falling as rain.
Pure tears from heaven
to quench the thirst of your tree.
